'100 Faceless Women - 'Cent Femmes Anonymes'
(after '100 Headless Women' by Max Ernst, 1929)

Description of work:
'La Femme Cent Tetes' by Max Ernst (forward by Andre Breton, 1929) inspired this series of montage experiments. The original is a Surrealist non-hierarchical college novel using black & white contemporary illustration prints.

The exhibition 'The Air is on Fire' of the works of David Lynch (Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, Paris, 2007) also provided inspiration after viewing Lynch's paintings.
